We are the only diving center in our area with a boat (2026 season). This means we can dive all the locations in Slovenian sea!
As we are in the bay of Trieste, this usually means good diving conditions, with no waves and no current.
- The Fiesa Reef – definitely the most popular dive site among Slovenian divers. There are several reasons: the dive is interesting and suitable for beginners as well as for more demanding divers. Access to the entry point is very easy. The dive site begins with a beautiful sandy area in depth of 1,5 to 2,5m. After the sand, there is rocky area full of life to depth of about 8m, where the reef is located. After that there is sandy area with about 12 little wrecks, a car and a motorbike. Deepest wreck is at 15m depth. A real underwater playground! Fiesa is suitable and highly recommended for night dives, as you will surely see permanent residents of the ridge: sea horses, octopuses, cuttlefish, squid…
- Punta Piran – marine reserve with a wall spanning from 3m to 14m depth. In the summer the reef is full of life. Sometimes you get the feeling like you are diving in a tropical place. Easy dive from the boat. The boat is anchored just outside of marine reserve, where we first descent to 8m depth. Following sand bank first, we reach the wall. There is a big artificial pyramid at the start of the wall, full of small fish hiding from larger fish. Sometimes we see Eagle ray and ever a turtle. In the last years, when the water is warm, there are even some barracudas around!
- Kec Wreck – WW2 wreck, about 50m long. Just 6 minutes pleasant boat ride out of our diving center. Landing boat that collided with another German warship in dense fog in 1944. They tried to tow it to Trieste and failed. The tow line is still visible – they had to cut it. The wreck lays in 23m depth, turned upside down. We descend using buoy line and first reach 18m depth, where 3 propellers and rudders are visible. Reaching the bottom at 23m, we swim along the wreck, observing plenty of marine life under the wreck. For advanced divers, penetration is possible, as it is easy to swim through the cargo area. Usually it is best to enter the wreck at the front, swim through cargo area and exit the cargo area where it ends. Easy penetration, but you need good guidance, as visibility might close up behind you as you swim (lots of silt in the wreck). However as we only swim one way, this can be safely made with proper guidance.
- Maona Wreck – also sunk in WW2, about 40m long. Between Piran and Savudrija, we can usually reach this wreck in 8 minutes of navigation with our boat. There is a buoy attached to the front. We descent down the line and reach the deck at 16m first. Depending on the dive plan, we usually go around the wreck at the bottom (21m), observing marine life hiding in the holes under the wreck. After that we do a round on the deck, observing many nudibranchs and other macro life usually on the wreck. For the end, we can enter cargo area and swim inside the cargo area. Usually an easy dive, but it can happen that the thermocline descends down to the deck in the summer, making visibility on the deck sometimes not optimal.
- Gilda Wreck – fantastic wreck from WW1. Italian steamship that came to it’s own mine. Sunk fast, but there were no casualties. Deck starts at about 22m, deepest point at spectacular propeller at 27m. A bit further out, about 20 minutes of navigation, but worth it. Usually good visibility. About 80m long and very interesting to explore, even multiple times.
- Under the stadium – similar to Fiesa, but minus the wrecks. Also, boat needed to reach it. We go sometimes to explore a different part of the reef. Also, good for training.
- Triglav – deepest point of Slovenian sea. 38m depth. Cold, dark, no visibility. We only go for Deep diver specialty training. Definitely a memorable dive for our students.
- Rex – remains of huge Italian passenger ship. Bombarded and sunk in 1944. Unfortunately not much remains, as it was cut up after the war. In the summer visibility might be bad. We only go there upon special request from history enthusiasts.
- Hydroplane – about 300m from Bernardin shore. Remains of hydroplane that used to fly between Portoroz and Torino between the 2 wars. 14m depth. 3 engines, propellers and floats nicely visible. A small wreck, so 15 minute dive covers the wreck 3 times. We usually only go here in the winter, as visibility in the summer might be poor (it is located inside bay of Portoroz).
