Underwater Triglav

The deepest point of Slovenian sea, only a short distance from Punta Piran. Triglav is Slovenia’s highest mountain and Underwater Triglav is the deepest point of our sea.

Dark, cold and 38m deep. We usually only go here for the final dive of the SSI Deep Diver specialty course. GREAT FOR TRAINING!

There is a pyramid marking the deepest spot. About 1,5m tall concrete pyramid, that served as a tank barricade in 1991 11-day war for independence of Slovenia. After the war, it was lowered to mark the deepest point of our sea bed. It also has a plaque with upside-down Triglav symbol and inscription saying “Deepest point of Slovenian sea”.
